This is a complete and balanced food that meets AAFCO (Association of American Feed Control Officials) nutritional standards and is suitable for all breeds and ages. However, please transition the food gradually over time, observing your dog's condition.

A complete and balanced food is "a pet food intended to be fed as the sole diet for a dog or cat on a daily basis, and which contains all the nutrients necessary to maintain health at a specified life stage when fed with water" (from the Japan Pet Food Association website). In other words, it is a food that, when fed with water, can maintain your dog's health.
The food has a strong smell, but does it use artificial flavors?
No, it does not. The flavor of the product is maintained by mixing boiled fish directly with other ingredients.
Are other additives used?
Minerals and vitamins are used to adjust the nutritional balance, but no coloring agents or antioxidants are used.
If no additives are used, will the shelf life be shorter?
It will last 8 months from preparation under proper storage conditions. The expiration date is printed on the product packaging. Once opened, please consume as soon as possible.
What if my dog doesn't eat it?
When trying a new food, dogs may be wary of changes in smell or taste and may not eat it. Please try switching gradually over about 1 to 2 weeks, starting with 1/4, then 1/2, then all new food, from the food you are currently using.
Is it okay to use as a topping?
Yes, it's fine. Ideally, if you use a topping with a similar nutritional level, you can use it without lowering the overall nutritional level. We hope you will also consider Hitowan's cube-shaped dog food. If you wish to add any vegetables or meat as a topping at home, please keep the additional amount to less than 20% of the total meal and observe your dog's condition.
