Is it suitable for dogs with allergies?
Please try this for dogs suffering from meat, wheat, or dairy allergies. *Please do not give this to dogs with fish allergies. *Please consult your veterinarian regarding allergies.
What ages and breeds is it for? Is it safe for my dog?
This is a complete and balanced food that meets the nutritional standards of AAFCO (Association of American Feed Control Officials) and is suitable for all breeds and all ages. However, when switching foods, please do so gradually while observing your dog's condition.
What is a complete food?
A complete food is "a pet food that is intended to be fed to dogs or cats as their main daily meal, and that is nutritionally balanced to maintain health at a specified life stage with only the pet food and water" (from the Japan Pet Food Association website). In other words, it is a food that allows your dog to maintain health with only that food and water.
The food has a strong aroma, but does it use artificial flavors?
No, it does not. The flavor of the product is maintained by mixing boiled fish directly with other ingredients.
Are other additives used?
Minerals and vitamins are used to adjust the nutritional balance, but no artificial colors or antioxidants are used.
If no additives are used, will the shelf life be shorter?
It will last 8 months from preparation if stored properly. The expiration date is written on the product packaging. After opening, please consume as soon as possible.
What if my dog doesn't eat it?
When trying new food, dogs may be wary of changes in smell and taste and may not eat it. First, gradually switch from the food you are currently using over about 1-2 weeks, starting with 1/4, then 1/2, then all new food.
Is it okay to use it as a topping?
Yes, it's fine. Ideally, if you use a food with a similar nutritional level as a topping, you can use it without lowering the nutritional level. We hope you will also consider Hitowan's cube-shaped dog food. If you want to add any vegetables or meat as a topping at home, please keep it to less than 20% of the total meal while observing your dog's condition.
