Many of you might not know how the food your beloved dog eats is made. We'd like to share with you the commitment and manufacturing process behind Hitowan's handmade food 🐶

■ What is Hitowan's handmade food?

Conceived over a year, our "cube-shaped handmade food" not only provides essential nutrients but is also a meal that families can enjoy together, catering to your dog's preferences and lifestyle. Try changing the flavor between morning and evening, make it into a soup by adding hot water, or arrange it on a plate to discover what your dog likes best... please feel free to explore different ways of enjoying it together.

Now, let us introduce you to the commitment behind Hitowan's handmade food.

■ Our Commitment to Ingredients

All handmade food (except venison*) is made with human-grade ingredients.
For vegetables, we partner with Godo Kaisha Shunsai Bou, a company that supplies to the supermarkets we usually use and school lunches, sourcing fresh vegetables every morning from Toyosu Market.

*Only venison is a "circular sustainable recipe." It uses deer culled due to population control in Hokkaido and is not intended for human consumption.

■ Our Commitment to Manufacturing

01. Carefully cutting fresh ingredients

The vegetables, sourced fresh from Toyosu Market every morning, are cut into pieces of approximately 3-5mm to aid digestion and absorption, considering dogs with picky appetites or senior dogs.

Meat is also prepared from minced meat.

02. Heating the ingredients

Vegetables are steamed or boiled.

Minced meat is carefully broken apart and heated.

03. Evenly mixing the ingredients

The three types of Hitowan supplements are also blended according to the food type.

04. Each is filled into a cube shape, then packaged

During packaging, labels indicating the food type are lovingly attached by hand, one by one.

05. Flash-freezing to preserve the natural flavor and nutrients of the ingredients

By flash-freezing, we preserve the cells of the food, retaining the umami, aroma, and nutrients of the vegetables and meat, delivering them to you in a state as fresh as possible.

Hitowan handmade food is prepared to meet comprehensive nutritional standards. (Nutritional values are designed in collaboration with veterinarians and pet nutritionists.)
